Happy Thursday♥
Hello Families and welcome to our day here in the Toddler Two room.
What busy bees we all were today with so much to do indoor and outdoor! We started the morning off indoor while we waited for all our friends to arrive before we skipped to the great outdoors where mother nature decided to let the sun rays beam through for all of us to have ample time exploring the outdoor environment. The children enjoyed riding the bikes, playing in the sandpit, navigating their way over the obstacle course and climbing through the playground. Some children came aboard the bus with Miss Jess where we sang ”Wheels on the bus”.
It was then time to come inside to join Miss Gabi on the carpet for group time. Today in group time Miss Gabi spoke to the children about harmony day and that the book we are reading is about friendships. The children engaged well in group time and showed great listening skills. Before we knew it, it was time to sing our washing hands transition song before we filled our tummies up with scrumptious morning tea. After morning tea we all participated in art for harmony day! We were able to freely decorate large paper with texter as well as Miss Gabi tracing our hands to then stick on the beautiful paper we decorated. Miss Jess did some face painting and also painted orange love hearts on those that wanted one for harmony day as well♥
After art we all helped tidy away so we could journey freely around the room. The children were really intrigued in the transportation and animal books that make sounds. Connecting the magnets together and making all kinds of different creations. Dancing away happily to ”Baby shark”, ”Sleeping bunnies” and ”Dingle, dangle scarecrow”. We also got the slimy goop out for the children to dive into! They really LOVE sensory play! Time flies by when we are having fun as Mr Dan arrived for Arakan!!! We all quickly helped to pack away and then grabbed our hats and headed outside to meet Mr Dan. The children practiced their quick reflex skills and also hand and eye coordination. Afterwards we headed off for a play outside before we came in to wash our hands for lunch and resting our bodies for a fun filled energised afternoon.
P.S Our lovely Miss Gabi will be on holidays from tomorrow and will be back 30.03.2021. Miss Jess, Miss Hope and Miss Shae (stepping in for Miss Gabi) will be in the room♥
