Hello families and friends 😊
A warm welcome from toddlers two classroom!!!

What a fabulous day we have had around here today! This morning our friends were so excited and happy to explore our beautiful environment and welcomed their friends with a BIG SMILE and lots of cuddles. Our day began with toddlers friends playing outside with their friends from next door, searching for their self interest toy and playing in the popular spots on the playgroup which were:

♥ Balance bikes – Our friends are having so much fun pushing the little bikes around the yard, their balancing skills are getting so much better with all the daily practice, each day they are more faster!

♣ Playing with Trucks – The big yellow trucks still very popular, they enjoyed filling up the dump truck with sand and then transport around the yard to the bark area.

♥ Swinging through the breeze on the swing with their friends and laughing saying ” HIGHER, HIGHER”

♣ Arakan – Practiced our reflex skills and showed how strong our muscles were as we punched the soft glove and it flew away!

The time past so fast when we are having fun with our friends, as it was then time to tidy up the playground and start our morning routine.
Before our morning tea everybody sat down on the mat for our GROUP TIME, today we celebrated INTERNATIONAL TIGER DAY. Miss Gabi read a book called “Good Night tiger” with their listening ears on our friends had a excellent engagement in participation in story time. 😊 the children also practiced their BIG “GROOOOWLS” as a tiger noises.
Once we finished reading the book it was time for our favourite rhyme song and smoothly transition to hand wash and morning tea time.
For morning tea today we had a delicious Creamy pear quinoa porridge with a seasonal fresh fruits.

With our tummies full it was time to continue our adventure inside our classroom searching for their favourite games and toys and the favourite play spots were:

♥ Magnetic play –  Building with magnetics was one of our friends choice in our free play time. They enjoyed building castles and houses with the colourful parts and after smashed it way, so fuuun!!!!

♣ Pipes – Popping the balls down the pipes with excitement before piking it up and doing it again.

♠ Imaginative play in home corner  – The children have been loving home corner, being able to ”cut” their fruit up before offering it to their friends.

♣ Group paint – In our group activity today we had a finger paint to celebrate tiger day. Using orange, yellow, black and red our friends were invited to dig their little fingers in the paint and design their own tiger on a piece of carboard box. Messy play like finger painting is important to every child’s development. It helps the body and brain integrate information, such as that needed for later spatial concepts, math, and language.  Finger painting is also a most relaxing and creative way to express feelings.

For lunch time today we had a another yummy and nutritive deal Roast vegie, avocado and pesto grills sandwich served with a delicious salad bar.
We are so HAPPY with how CONFIDENT the children are with using tongs to self-serve what they want and to be able to do it by themselves, we LOVE allowing the children to learn how to do such things as it helps enhances their self-help skills, allows them to try new things and it helps builds their self esteem and pride in independence.
Now it was time for our friends to find their beds before they enjoyed a restful sleep for this afternoons adventure.

Thank You all for today,

Love Miss Gabi, Miss Hope and Miss Jess xx
