Today we welcome our friends Quinn, Hendrix, Dominic, Lachlan H, Charlotte, Alanis, Lachlan B, Luca and Latika with Miss Shelby and Miss Thais.
What a fun day we had in the toddler two room today, Miss Shelby extended on our interest of the magnetic set from yesterday by providing magnet connectors, Alanis, Lachlan B, Dominic, Charlotte, Lachlan H and Hendrix showed enjoyment as they explored what they can do with the magnet connectors. Alanis followed and extended on her own interest as she used the magnets to stick up on the front of the fridge, Dominic, Lachlan H also joined in with sticking the magnets onto the fridge. Dominic used his words to express himself by saying ”wow” after he stuck the magnet up on the fridge, Charlotte recognised the colours of the magnets saying red, green and blue and Lachlan B connected all the coloured magnets together.
Miss Shelby set up the white boards with her special coloured shaped dotting pens where Charlotte, Latika, Quinn, Hendrix, Lachlan B, Alanis and Lachlan H sat at the table to draw with the pens. While using the pens Charlotte and Hendrix used their words to say ”dab, dab, dab” and Lachlan B used his words to say ”dots” and showed Miss Shelby he did dots on the white board.
Miss Thais sat with a small group of the children to have story time together as this time allows the children to interact with Miss Thais using their words to express their feelings and ideas as they look at books.
All the children are really engaged with Miss Gabbi at yoga time, learning how to rest their bodies and relax. They loved giving cuddles to Karma the Koala and Mindful Monkey and getting tickled by the calming feather.
The children were each given a special stamp for doing so well
