Good afternoon families and friends!
We started our day Outdoor playing with Farm Animals.
Once indoors we settled on the mat for our good morning songs as our transition songs, before washing our hands for morning tea.
The children happily explored the room and engaged in free-choice play while Miss Thais was setting up our Art activity. Today we made our farm animals with colored sticks and we glued the animals on the farm. The children displayed very good fine-motor and concentration skills as they carefully spread the glue all over the animals. Lachlan and Kezia liked to help their friends during the activity. They were concentrated during the activity and also they could using their words to recognize the animals names. Alexia said “cat”, Kezia said “horse”, Willow said “pig”, Rania said ” dog” and Lachlan said “chicken”. We also sang “Old Mac Donald had a Farm”.
We continued on with practising our meal time self-help skills as the children confidently displayed their ability to use their spoons to enjoy their pumpkin soup for lunch. The children also helped pack away their dishes and place their drinks in the basket for afternoon tea time.
Love Miss Thais
